Television watching increases in America

A Nielsen report released Monday said the average American increased his television viewing hours in 2008 by 3.6 percent to 151 hours monthly from 145 hours in 2007.

The rise in viewing was attributed to watching from other technological devices beside the TV set. Watching online video through the Internet increased the viewing habit by three hours, while four hours were spent watching mobile videos on cellphones.
